What Is A Movement Class?

A movement class is a structured physical practice.

In a single class, students might work on handstands, strength, mobility, ground movement, partner exercises, and coordination.

The specific projects evolve over time. The goal is not specialization in a single discipline, but becoming stronger, more coordinated, more adaptable, and more capable across many physical situations.

Individualized Practice

  • Each student receives direct feedback and instruction. Nobody works confused, above or below their level.

  • Every exercise has progressions, allowing students of different levels to work on the same project.

  • If you need something broken down, we will do that. If it’s too easy, we’ll increase the demand.

Group Practice

  • Classes combine solo, partnered, and group work.

  • This creates a potent mix of accountability, support, and energy you won’t find from training alone.

Project-oriented Practice

  • Classes are structured around evolving projects, like handstands, gymnastic strength, groundwork, or improvisation.

  • Projects stay long enough to produce results, then shift when it’s time. Every class includes a combination of projects to provide a balanced practice.

Who is it for?

Movement is for everyone.

Students include beginners, athletes, teachers, professionals, artists, parents, manual therapists, entrepreneurs, and more.

There are no pre-requisites, no background required. What our students share is that they…

  • Value learning and enjoy challenging themselves

  • Enjoy working toward long-term goals

  • Want guidance, feedback, and structure

  • Appreciate a practice that continues to evolve over time

They pay a lot of attention to individual progress and tailor the work to your ability level, so that people of all levels work together.

The best part is that it’s actually fun. There’s a curious, playful nature to the community and the teaching that makes every class feel novel.
